COVID-19 TRAVEL UPDATE

The wellness of our guests is at the heart of our guiding principle, and their safety and wellbeing is our highest priority. We strive to provide an enriching and soulful environment where guests can discover their own inner space, and we understand it is more important now than ever to take care of one another during these difficult times.

We have continued to monitor the ever-changing COVID-19 situation in order to make the best decisions for our guests. The opening of our hotels this summer has been impacted, but as the world starts to reopen, we are able to announce the opening plans for our two beautiful hotels.

OKU Kos – opening 1st July 2020

We are delighted to confirm that OKU Kos will open its doors to guests on 1st July 2020. After months of dreaming of welcoming guests to our blissful destination on the Greek Isles, we are thrilled to be able to finally share our slice of paradise with you. We are introducing measures to protect your health and wellbeing throughout your stay with us, ensuring you can relax with complete peace of mind while you’re away. Our guests will notice social distancing practices and reduced touch-points throughout the hotel, while staff will implement careful hygiene procedures alongside special procedure training.

All guests booked to stay before 1st July 2020 will be contacted directly in order to make alternative arrangements to suit them best. For bookings made through a travel agent or online booking platform please contact your provider directly.

OKU Ibiza – opening May 2021

It is with a heavy heart that we will not be able to open OKU Ibiza this summer.  We are committed to creating the best five-star hotel in Ibiza with experiences to match and will look to open our doors in May 2021 if no new restrictions are put in place.

The lockdown rules in Spain caused a delay to the completion of our hotel’s extension. With our focus on offering a superior guest experience we want to show our guests the complete hotel without disruption during their first stay with us, and to truly reflect the OKU ethos.

All affected guests who booked to stay at OKU Ibiza this summer with us directly will be contacted and offered several options, which are outlined below:

  • They can reschedule their booking to any date of their choice next season. For rescheduled bookings we would like to include a complimentary 45-minute spa treatment during the rearranged stay*.
  • If guests cannot commit to a date next summer just yet, we can issue a reservation voucher for the same stay which can be used to visit any time before the end of the 2021 season (which will not be subject to any price increases next year).
  • Guests can request to transfer their booking to our sister hotel OKU Kos, which will be open from 1st July 2020. We will be happy to discuss the options available for this.
  • If a booking is prepaid, guests can of course request a refund.

We are closely monitoring guidance from the World Health Organisation and local authorities to ensure we do everything possible to protect the safety of our guests and staff upon opening.
