OKU Hotels has been awarded first prize at the 17th annual Hospitality Design Awards in the ‘New Brand Launch’ category.
From a total of 780 entries, OKU Hotels was selected as winner of this new category, which was introduced to the awards for the first time this year, by an esteemed panel of judges who are top of their field in the sectors of hospitality and design.
Having launched our brand in 2020, we strive to offer five-star escapes based on slow living and barefoot luxury. This prestigious award recognises our distinctive laidback luxury brand concept, emphasising soulful connection and a considered design ethos, which we have brought to life at our two beautiful hotel locations in Ibiza and Kos. We have exciting plans to expand across the Mediterranean, creating soulful experiences and striking design in captivating destinations, and providing tangible laidback luxury for our intrepid and discerning guests.
We are grateful to have collaborated with outstanding design studios across the globe for the conception of both of our hotel projects. The design concept for OKU Ibiza was pioneered by our own in-house design team, and applied to architecture by local Ibizan architecture studio MG&AG Arquitectos. Meanwhile, the design for adults-only OKU Kos was developed by Lambs + Lions of Berlin, Germany alongside architecture by Mastrominas Architects of Greece.
We are honoured to be the first winners of this award against some incredible finalists, and we pass on our greatest thanks to Hospitality Design and our own wonderful team!
